Supervision

7 eye model_edited.jpg

I believe effective and regular supervision is key in providing the best care for our clients, as well as ensuring we continue our professional development.

I use the 7 eye model of supervision (Hawkins and Schwenk, 2006) to help therapists not just discuss the clinical content of their work, but also explore the interpersonal processes and subjective experiences.

I have 12 years of clinical experience in various mental health roles, 8 of which in IAPT, and 5 years in private practice. For the last 5 years I have supervised PWPs, trainee CBT Therapists, and qualified CBT Therapists.  In November 2020 I completed training in Supervision Competencies and Metacompetences with Royal Holloway University, and I am currently studying BCT Supervision under Dr. Don Baucom.

In addition, I studied for a PgDip in CBT Interventions for Long Term Health Conditions from 2020 to 2021.  As well as working with the PWP trainee course at UCL as a course tutor.
